Alex Kempter is a minor antagonist in Fleeing the Complex, who appears only as one of the two final antagonists with Kerdrew Johensen in the "International Rescue Operative" route.
Alex is a guard at The Wall who guards the helipad of the complex with a Rocket Launcher, due to the lack of SAM Turrets. He is accompanied by his partner, Kerdrew Johensen, and has worked at The Wall for years. He's been insistent on trying to get a SAM turret installed but has been denied by the Canadian bureaucracy for doing so, leaving him as the closest thing The Wall has to one.
Fleeing the Complex[]
He can be seen near the end of the "International Rescue Operative" path. He and Kerdrew are set on alert right as Charles Calvin swings by to pick up Henry Stickmin with his helicopter and bust him out of The Wall, the two both pull out their weapons and attempt to prevent it. In order to defeat both, Henry can:
- Run to the Helicopter: Charles flies on his helicopter on the building to get Henry. However, Kerdrew kills Henry while Alex destroys his chopper shortly after.
- Leap Down: Henry falls off the building and expects Charles to retrieve him. However, a confused Charles hesitates, questioning his sudden plan with a lack of coordination. This allows for Alex to destroy the helicopter.
- Tackle Kerdrew: Henry defeats Kerdrew by tackling to the ground but leaves Alex unguarded as the latter still takes down the chopper regardless.
- Tackle Alex: Henry knocks down Alex and prevents his attack. Alex tries to get Kerdrew's help, but his hopes are dashed as Charles kills Kerdrew with the chopper right before he can shoot. Henry intimidates Alex into submission, making sure he won't try to shoot them down as they leave. Henry then boards in Charles' chopper as they leave The Wall.

- His bio mentions that he's been trying to get a SAM turret installed in the complex. The next game, Completing the Mission, features a Toppat base with a SAM turret in it.
