Henry Stickmin Wiki

Big Boy's going on a rampage!

Big Boy is a gigantic red tank that appears in Completing the Mission during the "Toppat 4 Life" ending.

It is a key element in the plot. Andrew Cobbler is the tank's engineer and its main operator is Dijon Ponjelo.

Appearance[]

Big Boy resembles a traditional tank but with an extremely large, immobile turret as the cabin, oversized viewports and a gigantic segmented main gun. It presumably has 18 wheels in total encased by its tracks. Above them are domes containing a total of 4 HMG turrets, while the cabin has two hatches, fins and four extra handles.

Big Boy boasts unparalleled mass, durability, agility, firepower and comes with powerful sensors. It can withstand an endless amount of munitions and deliver equally extreme devastation.

Role[]

The tank has been brought to the Dogobogo Jungle by General Hubert Galeforce's army for their upcoming attack on the Toppat Launch Site. However, Andrew Cobbler got stuck on an issue with the tank, and wasn't able to fix it in time for the raid, preventing the vehicle from participating in The Toppat Raid under most circumstances.

In "Toppat 4 Life," Henry Stickmin infiltrates the hangar where the tank is stored and attaches a jammer onto the vehicle. Big Boy turns aggressive and bursts out of its shelter, steamrolling, shooting and ramming everything it comes across, prompting the Center for Chaos Containment to tackle it with the G.A.B.E.G.G. Sensing their containment efforts futile, General Galeforce decides to cut their losses and pull out.

Trivia[]

  • The name of this tank might be a reference to Little Boy, one of the nuclear bombs that used by the US to destroy Hiroshima, an island in Japan during World War II.
  • Since Big Boy is red, it might’ve belonged to the Toppat Clan before getting impounded by the Government.
  • As depicted in its only functional appearance, Big Boy's extreme strength could have devastated the entire Toppat launch site and their rocket singlehandedly without a sweat should the vehicle participate in the raid after adequate repairs.
  • So far, Big Boy is the second-largest land vehicle in the entire franchise, only losing to the Toppat Train.
    • It is currently the biggest government vehicle. All other government tanks pale in comparison to its sheer bulk.
  • It is not known what happened to Big Boy after its rampage. The government likely abandoned it during their hasty departure, and it would soon stop due to fuel depletion, whereupon it can be seized by the Toppats, taken by the governments or left there to rust forever.
    • However, T4L continues from RPE where the Toppat Tank remains in their possession, and combined with storage difficulties, the Toppats are unlikely to show interest in Big Boy, making a government recovery or disposal more likely.
  • Interestingly, Andrew and Dijon, the duo who engineered and operated Big Boy, were the first two people killed by the tank.
  • The Big Boy is likely inspired by two German vehicles.
    • Its turret design resembles the Sturmtiger, a Nazi assault gun variant of the Tiger I tank.
    • Its sheer size and secondary weapons may be partially based on the P-1000 “Ratte” (Rat in German), a gigantic, conceptual Nazi Tank with massive naval turret guns, tank guns, and eight top-mounted AA sentries.
  • Apparently, Big Boy possesses some mechanical issues, as Henry inadvertently drives it off the cliff while trying to hijack the empty tank.
  • While scrambled, it it shown to be rather intelligent, as it picks and chooses targets to attack, and uses its knowledge of recoil to knock itself into the G.A.B.E.G.G. during their fight.
  • This and the Wall Tank may be references to the tanks from Advance Wars. If henry could drive it it would be a success.
