― Captain Ed Roberts' Bio[src]

Captain Ed Roberts is a supporting antagonist in the Henry Stickmin Series.

He is a major antagonist in Escaping the Prison, serving as the primary and final antagonist in the "Badass Bust Out" ending, and an unseen major antagonist in every other pathway.

He is the chief of police at West Mesa Penitentiary. He runs a tight ship and expects the best from all his cadets. He has an M4A1 Carbine (AK-47 in the legacy version), which he uses to fight with prisoners who try to escape.

Appearance

Captain Ed Roberts wears a grey police cap with a gold/red logo on it. He wears grey shoes and has a grey mustache. He is shown holding an AK-47 in his hand.

However in the remastered version, his shoes are changed to dark blue ones and has an AR-15 instead. His hat is dark blue instead of grey and the logo on his hat is changed to a gold badge.

Escaping the Prison

Captain Ed appears during the "Badass Bust Out" ending, where he he first can be seen through his photo located right next to his office. He later makes a physical appearance when blocks Henry Stickmin from running out of the front door of West Mesa Penitentiary. He along with his officers, Tom Hardly, Burt Slim, Jimmothy Pug, Michael Bends, Shawn Sean and Mathew Flexer all corner Henry and try to stop him from escaping prison.

When Ed starts firing bullets at Henry, Henry dodges them successfully, grabs the last bullet, and hits Ed's AR.[1] Due to this, Ed surrenders out of fear and shock letting Henry escape West Mesa Penitentiary successfully afterwards.

If Henry doesn't counter Ed's attack, Ed immediately shoots Henry down. (Old Message: Come on. You were so close!) (New Message: Come on! You were so close!)

Trivia

  • In the original game, his hat was a darker coloration than the rest of the police in the prison, but Roberts is not to be confused with the Security Guards from the Museum who have similar dark hats.
  • In the Original EtP, there was a Lounge with an Armory closet next to it, However, in the Remastered version, this has been changed to Captain Ed Roberts' office with a photo of him next to the Door of the office.
  • When he is facing towards Henry, it appears that he has an extra set of fingers. This is a mistake in-game.
