The Dark Energy Bomb/Blaster (or D.E.B. for short) is a weapon fired by the Center for Chaos Containment as seen in Infiltrating the Airship.
If the player selects the disk that says “D.E.B.” on it, Wilson Stone will boot up the Dark Energy Blaster which aims for the Airship and the Center's building. Afterwards, a purple-colored ball of dark energy forms and expands rapidly, first disintegrating Rupert Price, then three Government helicopters, Henry and the ruby, and then the airship, before encroaching onto the CCC HQ as it grows uncontrollably. Wilson views a photo of his wife and his son, bids goodbye to them, then turns to face the energy blast as it presumably kills him, destroys the HQ building, and the screen fades to white while playing sad music, leading to a fail.

Trivia[]
- According to the Part 1 Dev Stream, Puff says that this fail was inspired by that one scene from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where a Subspace Bomb detonates in the middle of the Midair Stadium.
- The Dark Energy is an extremely dangerous weapon as it can even wipe out buildings in a matter of seconds. It was probably designed to be used in only the most extreme of situations because it would pose a threat to those who are not even involved in the chaos.
- This is the only fail in the entire series that lacks a fail message and audio. According to Puff back in 2013, he made this as a moment of silence for those in his games.
- Others theorized that the lack of fail message was due to the fail message 'announcer' was also canonically killed in the blast. This is mentioned by the youtuber 8BitRyan.
- In the remastered version, the Dark Energy Blaster is renamed as the "Dark Energy Bomb". It retains its animation since the blaster since the explosion happens instantly.
- This ending may also be one of the numerous Half-Life references, as in Half-Life 2: Episode One, the Citadel's dark energy explosion leveled City 17 and derailed the train Gordon Freeman is escaping in, despite him being already distant from the Citadel itself.
- This is the 2nd-most cataclysmic weapon, both overall and in the Chaos Containment Center's arsenal.
- The Divide by Zero is the most cataclysmic from the Center's arsenal, capable of Solar System Destruction via a black hole.
- The Angry Moon would be the 3rd most cataclysmic since it can cause planet sterilization at worst.
- The Shoop-da-Whoop Satellite and the Nuke deal slightly less damage since they are only able to destroy a smaller area.
- The CorrupTick and the Goodball, while they do devastate the surrounding region with slightly less damage, were not Chaos Containment weapons. Their purpose was so Henry could fulfill his personal missions, but he himself used them.
