The Desert is a location seen in Breaking the Bank, Escaping the Prison, Infiltrating the Airship and in the "Toppat Civil Warfare" pathway of Completing the Mission.

Here, the Bank, West Mesa Penitentiary, and possibly the CCC Desert Headquarters are located (the desert featured in ItA may or may not be the same one found in BtB and EtP). There are at least two roads crossing the desert; an unpaved one that leads to the bank and West Mesa Penitentiary (known as the Dusty Road), and a paved one that Henry can be seen driving on in the credits of "Badass Bust Out”. The unpaved road is only big enough for one car to drive on at a time.

The desert also features typical features like cacti and sand dunes.

Trivia

• It is unclear where the desert that appears in Relentless Bounty Hunter/Rapidly Promoted Executive, Pure Blooded Thief and Toppat Civil Warfare is. There is a possibility that it could be located in either New Mexico, U.S.A. or in another country, like Mexico
  • However, in the legacy games' files, there is a CCC Central Branch right next to the desert, hinting it could be in the Mojave Desert or in Nevada.^{[citation needed — hover for more info]}
