Drake Camper is a minor character appearing in Completing the Mission, who appears only as a semi-major character in the "Toppat 4 Life" ending.

Appearance

Like most other soldiers, Drake wears a standard green military cap and green shoes.

Personality

Drake similar to Josh Taylor is shown to have excitement when partaking in a big mission. Though Drake does not express excitement as much, he shows that he lacks any bit of subtly which isn't aided by the fact he is a relatively new military recruit who hasn't learned that loose lips cause sinking ships. This combined with his excitement and consumption of alcohol causes him to blurt the government's plan for The Toppat Raid as well as location openly in a public area.

Completing the Mission

Drake appears during the beginning of "Toppat 4 Life" and is seen with Josh at the Tavern. The two are clearly drunk, and are having a conversation about the upcoming military attack on the Toppat Launch Site without bothering to be subtle about it. Unbeknownst to them, Henry Stickmin (who in this pathway is still leader of the Toppat Clan) is also at the bar in disguise, overhears them, and thus realizes he has to stop the military.

After the two are berated by Quentin Alabaster, they both exit the Tavern with Quentin as all fly off to the Government Military Base set up in the Dogobogo Jungle, unaware that Henry has secretly boarded Quentin's helicopter to stop the Military Raid. Drake is seen later at arrival where he delivers a supply drop too early which Henry manages to grab on to and land on a cliff next to the Military Base, thus starting the first choice of the route.

Trivia

• He and Josh Taylor are a homage to Nickelodeon's hit 2000s sitcom Drake & Josh as they are named after the two main characters, Drake Parker (played by Drake Bell) and Josh Nichols (played by Josh Peck), and share somewhat of a close bond like the two stepbrothers.
• The OST played during the T4L intro is named "Two Idiots" which is likely is directed towards the two soldiers as mockery.
• The mention of Drake not learning about "loose lips sinking ships" is a direct tie-in to the real life phrase (Loose lips sink ships) that originated from propaganda posters as "Loose Lips Might Sink Ships" during World War II.
  • The phrase means 'beware of unguarded talk' that might give useful information to the enemy which as seen in the "Toppat 4 Life" route, Drake openly talks about the government's intel and strategy to stop the Toppats which causes Henry to overhear this and stop the government from starting the raid leading to the victory and success of the Toppats.
