Forks are points in the game where there is more than one correct action for Henry to choose from. The decision he makes leads him into a certain path.
Forks Types[]
Pre-route forks[]
Pre-route forks are forks at the beginning of the game, which involves Henry making a move which can bring him down a path. All games except Breaking the Bank and Completing the Mission have Pre-Route forks.
Mid-route forks[]
Mid-route forks are forks after the beginning of the game and before the ending of the game in which a path splits into two paths.
Fleeing the Complex and Stealing the Diamond contain such forks. In Fleeing the Complex, Henry can choose Boost Up, Charge Tackle or Wait for Transfer. Boost Up and Wait for Transfer have paths that split into two paths; right after "Boost Up", Henry can either abandon Ellie Rose or help her; after "Wait for Transfer" and Laser Plane, Henry can phone either The Government or The Toppat Clan.
In Stealing the Diamond, after first choosing "Sneak In", the player can choose the Pick or Teleporter (along with other failures) which lead to "Just Plain Epic" and "Unseen Burglar" respectively.
End-route forks[]
Also known as end-game forks, which give the player two possible endings in the final choice screen of a route. These forks usually involve the player choosing which faction to side with. These forks are found in Infiltrating the Airship and Completing the Mission.
In Infiltrating the Airship, it appears in the final choice screen after starting with the Cannon Ball, with the choice determining if the player gets the "Rapidly Promoted Executive" or "Relentless Bounty Hunter" ending.
In Completing the Mission, it happens near the end of the "Toppat Recruits"/"Pardoned Pals" route, when Henry and Ellie have to choose who to side with and unofficially, "Toppat 4 Life" and "Multiverse Correction" where Ellias Bahtchin can choose either the G.A.B.E.G.G. ("Toppat 4 Life") or the Multiverse Imbalance (Multiverse Correction).
