Trivia[]
- Marty is a pastiche of an Nintendo's famous character and mascot Mario, right down to the fact he makes a loud noise every time he jumps, his mustache being a pair of swooshes, and the fact that he often overshadows his sibling (Louie G., who himself references Mario's brother, Luigi).
- The name "Marty O." is also a reference to The Thousand Year Door, where Mario is referred to multiple times by characters as "Marty" or "Marty-O" throughout the game.
- Marty being shorter than Louie also references the fact that Mario is shorter than Luigi.
