Sir Wilford IV is an unseen antagonist that appears in Infiltrating the Airship and Completing the Mission.

He was the eighth leader of the Toppat Clan sometime before the events of the series wearing a Triple Hat. He is either dead or got captured due to his position on the wall, which refers to the order of leaders. He was one of the strongest and most respected leaders in the history of the Clan.

Appearance

Sir Wilford IV wears three large top hats (one dark gray, one gray, and one black), in which the one on the top is a lighter gray. Wilford smokes a cigar. He has a scar on his right eye and has a golden tooth. He also has a blonde beard (in the legacy version only).

Biography

At one point in time, before the events of the series, Sir Wilford was a Toppat member. He later went on to defeat Billy G. to take the rank as Toppat Leader. Wilford was a very respected and feared leader as he was generally intimidating and tough. He was also a very strong leader as mentioned by his bio.

However, at one point he either died or was imprisoned as shown by his portraits. Though his ultimate fate is unknown, it is more likely he is dead since its implied the Toppats evaded capture for several decades. Terrence Suave would be the Toppat who would take leadership after him.

Infiltrating the Airship

During the "Pure Blooded Thief" pathway, when Geoffrey Plumb catches Henry Stickmin trying to steal the Romanian Ruby, Wilford's picture can be seen on a wall in the hallway of the Airship where other famous Toppat Clan leaders are shown in order.

Completing the Mission

Another portrait of him is seen in the hall of fame on board at the Toppat Orbital Station during the "Special BROvert Ops" route.

Personality

Throughout all of his appearances, Sir Wilford is shown to be a very serious person. He also shown to be tough and ruthless as he defeated Billy G. to claim the title of leader. His CtM bio mentions how he despises incompetence. Wilford's portraits also portray him as angry and rough.

Trivia

In a livestream on Twitch, PuffballsUnited confirmed that the order of the leaders portraits in the Airship's hallway is the order in which those leaders led the clan; confirming that Sir Wilford IV had defeated Billy G. in order to take his rank as leader but was soon replaced by Terrence Suave.
His Triple Hat is what inspired Reginald Copperbottom to wear Terrence Suave's hat on top of his own.
Terrence Suave was presumably the one who dethroned Sir Wilford IV or Wilford got arrested by the Police/Government/DDP.
