Took a blade to the face during an encounter. Now, he prefers to stay behind the scenes.
― Slice's Bio[src]

Slice is a member of the Toppat Clan and a minor antagonist in Infiltrating the Airship, and a minor character in Completing the Mission, appearing as a major antagonist in the Government Supported Private Investigator route in Infiltrating the Airship, and a minor character in the Toppat Recruits ending in Completing the Mission.

Appearance[]

Slice has a noticeable scar on his face from a time when he was cut with a blade during an encounter. He also wears a semi-tall torn black top hat with short, dark brown shoes (as revealed by the "Toppat Recruits" ending in CtM).

Infiltrating the Airship[]

He can be seen during the "Government Supported Private Investigator" pathway, where he is in the boardroom of the Airship, discussing new weapons for the clan with other Toppats such as Derbert Daniels and Floyd Winters. During the "Disguise" fail, he mistakenly confuses Henry for another Toppat, Gordon Smith, who's wife is in labor. Slice offers Smith (Henry) a chance to arrive to her via an escape pod and assures him he'll tell the Chief about his absence. This leads to a fail for Henry.

When Henry uses the Glue as an option to get past the Toppat Boardroom, Slice can be heard in a conversation with Magnus Eriksson and Winston Davis. Most notably Slice trying to tell Magnus that a solid-gold canon is a bad idea, though the Toppats end up going with that idea anyway (as shown in "Special BROvert Ops").

Completing the Mission[]

Despite being un-clickable and not having a bio in Completing the Mission. Slice appears in the "Toppat Recruits" pathway. He is seen during the credits in the small crowd of Toppats attending the recruit ceremony of Henry Stickmin and Ellie Rose. His shoe color was also revealed to be dark brown during this scene.

Quotes[]

Infiltrating the Airship[]

Government Supported Private Investigator (Off-screen Relentless Bounty Hunter/Rapidly Promoted Executive, Pure Blooded Thief)[]

  • "Alright gentlemen, we've been tasked with developing new weapons for the clan. Any ideas?"
  • "Naw, we can't do that."
  • "You do realize how much a solid gold cannon would weigh, don't ya?"

Disguise (fail)[]

  • "Alright, so if we go up to three caliber..."
  • "Hey you there!"
  • "What do you think you're doing?"
  • "It's Smith, right?"
  • "What are you doing here, mate!? Your wife's just gone into labor!"
  • "Take that escape pod behind you. It'll take you right to the hospital."
  • "Go ahead."
  • "Don't worry, I'll tell the chief."

Trivia[]

  • On the The Henry Stickmin Collection Developer Commentary Stream on Twitch, PuffballsUnited stated that Slice is Australian (though his accent already makes it partially clear).[1]
  • His name is likely referenced by the way he got his scar.
  • Although he appears in CtM, he doesn’t have a bio.
    • In the case of his sole appearance in the credits of Toppat Recruits, according to the Commentary, he didn't want to put in Bios in that one scene as it would've been a absolute nightmare, having to add a hitbox for over 30 Toppats, and additionally creating additional bios for the unique ones seen in this scene, including Slice.
  • He, along with Scar and Wallace Dagwood, are the characters with a scar on their faces.
