Wings is an option in Completing the Mission during the "Triple Threat" and "Pardoned Pals"/"Toppat Recruits" pathway.
Triple Threat[]
Henry and Ellie fly down with wings on their arms to swoop into the rocket, but they fly into the rocket itself and fall off, landing unceremoniously on the ground, which results in a fail.
Pardoned Pals/Toppat Recruits[]
In this pathway, Henry and Ellie can combine the wings with another object in an attempt to escape from the parking lot where they are cornered by The Wall soldiers and Toppat Clan members.
- Controller + Wings (Fail): The controller ends up flying to the sky.
- Rope + Wings: Henry and Ellie escapes the battlefield at the parking lot and makes their way to the Toppat Orbital Station.
Fail Message[]
- PP/TR (Wings + Controller): Thank you wings, very cool!
- TT: What a graceful landing.
Trivia[]
- In the Pardoned Pals/Toppat Recruits pathway, after Henry and Ellie combine a Controller with Wings, the fail message references a widely-memed tweet from the former U.S. President: "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"
- The Wings seen in Pardoned Pals/Toppat Recruits are clearly modelled after the wings from Scribblenauts.
- Wings and Controller are one of only four fails that don't do anything to Henry or his team, the others being Cheese, Retroglove, and Melt Ray.
- The Wings fail in Triple Threat is a reference to the Birdman bonus mode from Pilotwings 64, of which the fail screen is referenced shot for shot. It even has its own unique track specifically made for the fail called Flight Results, along with reusing Wings of the Pilot, another track made to reference Pilotwings.
- The music that plays during Henry and Ellie crashing before falling into the ground is based off of "Rocket Belt - Crash" from Pilotwings 64.
